Amb, Agu Nzube Matthew popularly known as SURPLUS 

is born on 22nd August 1973 to the Family of HOn Nicholas Agu and Deaconess Jacinta Agu .

He is the 6 child among six siblings. 

Nzube Originally hails from Agwu Local Govt Area Enugu State.

 Nzube growing up a year were mainly in Enugu where he had both his primary and secondary school education before proceeding to university of Nigeria Nsuka  to complete his degree.

He is blessed with four lovely children,one girl and three boys.

Nzube was born into a low-income,humble and average home,but was blessed with caring parents who wanted their children to attain western education.Nzube studied  Economics and Political Education. As a child Nzube desired to be an event manager and TV personality where he could impact lives and through the instrumentality of TV programming tell his story and connect with people who came through the limelight by Clint of hardwork, commitment to cherish ideals and Gods favour.

After his degree

,he started managing event and hosting programs, program both in AITV and NTA.

Today no doubt, Nzube is  indeed a TV personality,event manager and a media entrepreneur with over 20 staffs in his company BASSY LIFE STYLE AND EVENT where he sits atop as a chief of Executive Officer. It is a story of grass to grace and it is the singular circumstance of his birth and growing up that continue to challenge the astute innovator and trial blazer who is clearly destined for the top with God on his side.

Nzubes vision is to build a world class media empire with the support of God almighty, men and women of conscience who want to encourage entrepreneurship and hard work.

This dynamic young man has contributed significantly to the betterment of the society through his purpose driven initiative and sits on the Board of many companies such as BASSEY LIFE STYLE AND EVENT, Nzube Agu foundation,surplus Agu foundary; Agu Nzube foundation OGBAKU BEST ENTERTAINMENT to mention just a few. It is in recognition of his contributions that he has been recognized by different times which includes peace amb. Nenwe Youth Movement 2009. Youth peace maker Nenwe youth 2010.
